Grote Markt Stadshart Almere
Rond de eeuwwisseling (2000) ontwikkelde Michael van Gestel voor de Grote Markt , het “horeca plein” van Almere, een plan om serres toe te voegen aan de te gesloten bestaande gevels. Om bestemmingsplanwijzigingen te voorkomen was één van de voorwaarden dat de serres binnen 2*24uur weer te verwijderen moesten zijn.
In middels zijn de volgende serres gerealiseerd:
• A N N O– grand-café, hotel
• 1e Rang- café
• TjaiBaron
• Het Broodcafe
• Bergerrie
De laatste drie serres hebben wel een “normale” fundering. Dit werd mogelijk na een wijziging van het bestemmingsplan.
Grote Markt Almere City Center
Around the turn of the century (2000) Michael van Gestel has developed a strategy for the Grand Place,” a square for the catering industry ” at Almere. One of the goals of his plan was to subjoin extensions to the existing facades, consisting mainly of glass. To prevent zoning changes, one of the conditions was that “the greenhouses” could be removed within 2×24 hours.
Results unil 2013:
• A N N O grand café, hotel
• 1st Rank-cafe
• TjaiBaron
• Bread Cafe
• Bergerrie
The last three do have a “normal” foundation. This was possible after a change in the zoning.
